Based in the Roundhay area of Leeds, northleeds.com was established in 2002 to redesign a website for St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds.
Maintenance and updating of the website have taken it through various design phases since then utilising new features to ensure the site remains attractive, uncluttered, quick loading, simple to navigate, a rich source of information for patients, their families and palliative care staff and a significant source of income for the Hospice.
This work created an impression with many people resulting in more requests for web design, a new website for the Association of Hospice and Palliative Care Chaplains, a professional organisation for chaplains and those providing spiritual care in hospice and specialist palliative care, was launched in 2004 and northleeds.com continues with the maintenance and updating of this site.
In 2004, the lottery run jointly by the two Leeds Hospices, St Gemma's and Sue Ryder Care, Wheatfields was taken over by northleeds.com completely redesigned and it continues to be maintained and is updated on a weekly basis.
There are presently seven other websites which have been designed, built, launched and are being maintained and updated by northleeds.com
